This policy is a production-ready template for the Oregon beta and contains placeholder legal language pending final legal counsel review.

1. Scope and commitment

Yardstake provides feasibility and marketplace workflows that connect homeowners with ADU manufacturers. We only collect the information needed to operate those workflows, provide support, and improve product quality.

2. Data we collect

  • Contact data (name, email, phone) submitted through forms.
  • Property and feasibility inputs (address, ZIP, lot details, zoning-related attributes).
  • Usage and device data (IP address, browser, timestamps, and page activity).
  • Account and communication preferences for registered users.

3. How we use data

  • Run feasibility checks and provide confidence-scored results.
  • Route inquiries to relevant marketplace partners when requested by the user.
  • Operate analytics for conversion and product quality monitoring.
  • Provide support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data to unrelated third parties. We share submitted inquiry details only with relevant partners in the Yardstake marketplace workflow and with service providers required to run the platform.

5. Retention and security

We retain data only as long as needed for service delivery, compliance, and reporting obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect stored and transmitted information.

6. Your privacy rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information where legally applicable. Region-specific rights (including California rights) are honored according to applicable law.
